
Steve began his television career in 1976 as the youngest Senior Floor Manager at ATV Elstree Studios which became Central Television. In 1984 when the studios at Elstree closed he became Production Manager at Complete Video (Post-Production Facility House) responsible for day to day running of the operation and overseeing the costing and satisfactory completion of individual projects.
In 1986 he became a Freelance Floor Manager/Production Manager working at various companies including TVS, Yorkshire TV, ITN, Central, Celador Productions, John Kaye Cooper Productions, Sunset & Vine and Humphrey Barclay Productions. launched TOVS which is
Steve joined Celador Productions in 1990 as Head of Production and was made Director of Production in 1991. He was responsible for budgeting, scheduling, selection & hiring of facilities and staff for all productions as well as budget negotiations with broadcasters. This allowed him to make many good contacts with broadcast executives and production staff. He was responsible for setting up the production processes for The Hypnotic World Of Paul McKenna, Talking Telephone Numbers, Winning Lines and, the major hit, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire among many other productions including The National Lottery: Winning Lines.
